We carry two ELTs specifically for helicopter use: The EBC 302H and the 502H.
The 302H is TSO-C91 approved, while the 502H is TSO-C91a approved.
Both models were developed in recognition of the fact that a helicopter crash is dynamically different from a fixed-wing crash.
Both of these ELTs use two 360 degree accelerometers to create a true spherical 6-axis G-switch - they will respond to a crash from any direction - up, down, left, right, front or back.
These ELTs have also been engineered for helicopter operation by reducing sensitivity to low frequency turbine vibration and rotor input, making these ELTs more immune to false activation.
Full details and specifications upon request. Please see our ELT page for more information.
